About Kacey Moore

Associate Licensed Counselor

Kacey grew up in Chelsea, Alabama; however, she recently moved back after spending six years in Central Florida. During her time in Florida, Kacey met her husband Bronson Moore while in college at Southeastern University. Bronson also grew up in the Birmingham area and currently serves as a youth pastor at a local church.

Kacey enjoys singing, snow skiing, swimming, fishing, exercising, and watching Auburn football. Kacey and her husband are passionate about developing relationships with their youth and spend much of their time supporting the students within the youth ministry of which they serve.

Education

Kacey received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Psychology with a Minor in Youth Ministry from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. She also holds a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. Kacey has been practicing counseling for two years, is an Associate Licensed Counselor with the state of Alabama, and is a member of the American Counseling Association.

Clinical Experience

Kacey began her counseling experience at a child and adolescent crisis unit in Orlando, Florida. Kacey also served as a counselor at a Substance Abuse Counseling Center in Winter Haven, Florida, working with families involved with Department of Children and Families due to drug or alcohol abuse. Kacey recently joined Samaritan in October of 2009 and is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults who struggle with increased anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, self-injury and various forms of trauma. Through Samaritan, Kacey is also the campus counselor for Judson College in Marion, Alabama, providing counseling services to faculty, staff, and students.
